What is your favorite part of the book with this character? Or you can go the whack-job perverted route , like me, and have a song on your playlist from YOU to the character.

1) Jace Wayland from the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare,  is a Shadow Hunter, Nephilim, and is on the Edge of Seventeen!

(not that it would matter to me)

2) Cage,  from While It Lasts by Abbi Glines, I <3 you. But this song is for Eva. Long before Cage came into her life, she loved and lost her soldier.

3) Noah Calhoun, from The Notebook by Nickolas Sparks, rehabs an old plantation house. Years, he works on this. Years, he waits for Allie to come home.

4) Reed Wellington, from The Preminition Series by Amy Bartol, needs a song for when he FINALLY decides he can no longer stay away from Evie.

5) Daemon Black, from the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout is an alien who I want to “infect me”.

Kristin commented on one of my posts on Facebook that in the 3rd book, Opal, Daemon calls Katy a “Tasty Kitten”.

I’m not even sure where to go with that. Or what to do. It’s so damn HOT!

Better said: Daemon, I wish we were…. closer. I’d like to violate you.

    My favorite part about this character is how he’s not afraid to lay all his cards out on the table for Evie. He tell her some of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. “I would pull her inside me and have my heart beat for us both if I could”

    My favorite part about Brennus, besides him being so hot, when he started trying to understand Evie and bought her cloths and shoes that she would like. He can be evil or hide it well but I really love this character and root for him time to time. In Indebted when he tells her she was a beautiful child and she tell him that some of the boys use to call her ‘tomato head’. “I will kill him” Brennus promises in a soft tone. “He was nine” I reply. “Den he has lived many years longer dan he should have.””

    My favorite part about Russell is that even though him and Evie love each other that they can be such great friends and it makes their friendship just that much better. Its like they can almost read each other and I can see why Reed can get upset about this.

    Hot N Cold- Katy Perry
    I like the part with Declan because he’s funny and yet serious. He doesn’t really have a part like the others I listed but he’s one of the guys I like. His friendship he forms with Evie is very sweet and heck I even what to be his friend. “TIS me lucky shirt, Genevieve! Ye Blighter! Ye took it from me room- are dose my pants, too?”

    My favorite part about this character is that he has history with her in the life she has now. He also has it before but he watched her grow up and then even went to high school with her as her boyfriend for awhile even. “For a moment, I feel as if I’m watchin’ two angelic lovers engaging’ in a form of adolescent flirtation. Xavier rubs his cold, wet cheek against Evie’s and she gasps as the combination of frigid water and masculine skin combine to cause an unwilling’, feminine giggle to tumble from her”

    Dannika Dark is one of my favorite Authors. Her Characters are so incredibly original and exciting. One of the best characters, in my opinion is Simon Hunt. He is scandalous, smart, and so exciting. Here is a quote from Twist (book 2, in the Mageri Series by Dannika), the track I chose for the scene and a link to the song.

    I don’t know how many entries I can have on this but I’m putting this down just for fun because I love Dannika Dark and I think her books are so worthy of checking out.
    Logan Cross is an amazing character. He is fierce, devoted, protective and very intense. Here is a scene I really love, the track I chose for it and a link to the song.

    Justus is the most enigmatic character in the Mageri Series. He is strong, charming, somewhat broken, and yes.. oh so sexy.

        Thanks Gabi. This is an awesome contest.. and even if I don’t win I still have a lot of fun posting. Your blog is super spiffy, too. I really like the colors and the layout.
        I love creating soundtrack for favorite scenes in my favorite books. I wanted to post a song for a scene with Adam Razor(another really great character by Dannika, he is my broken prince charming) but unfortunately, the scene/song would be a spoiler :( and would ruin for new readers if they want to check out the books.

    Russell from The Premonition Series by Amy Bartol Oh Russell…the soulmate! He is so lovable. I love Russell…the love and devotion he has for Evie. There are so many ways he shows he loves her that are so backwards and awkward, but he is always there for her when it matters and remembers all their past lives together. I think this song sums up his feelings for starting to let Evie go….

He is delusional!         Oh, Courtney! Initially I felt sorry for Xavier…But not once he drugged her and had her tied up—almost making her lose her wings and making her vulnerable to a Brennus attack–he needs to just leave her alone! He is trying to make decisions for her against her will–which is all she wants is free will…make her own decisions.

If Evie remembers more & combined with POSSIBLY Xavier saving the day and killing off Brennus… Evie can’t decide between Reed and Xavier???? Would make for a good book #6 (just saying)

    Oh Brennus, my sweet Brennus, I think that I have found songs that show the world how much you really love Evie. If by House of Heroes is a perfect song for Brennus’s possessive venture in having Evie.

    Oh my hotness, Kellen Kyle, you make all the girls swoon. There is just something about a hot guy driving a hot car. And there are two things Kellen loves more than anything, his car and Kiera (and his music of course!!). These two are one of the most intense couples out there, and they have a lot of issues but Kellen is a passionate person and it seems when it comes to his music, his car, or Kiera, he doesn’t do anything half way. So this song I think has the intensity of Kellen and shows how much he loves Kiera.

    Hoover does an amazing job of implementing music into her books Slammed and Point of Retreat with using the most awesome Averett Brothers. It would seem hard to find songs for Will but luckily, this type of music is right up my alley. For Will in Slammed I used Wait for Love by Idaho Native (gotta give my props!) Josh Ritter. This song shows how Will and Lake deal with their circumstances and how they really do have to wait, or try to wait, for what they really want. Each other.

    In Point of Retreat, Will and Lake have a whole new set of challenges they have to deal with and Will just wants to comfort and be there for Lake. With similarities to the Averett Brothers, I could totally see Will listening to these two artists. And these songs both show how wonderful Will is there, a steady rock in the chaos that surrounds Will and Lake.

    Now while I am a Brennus fan, there is a small part in my heart for Reed. Whenever I think of Reed I think of a quiet strength for Evie. I mean Russell, Xavier, and Brennus are pretty loud and proud of their affections for Evie and while Reed is as well, I sometimes think he is the quieter one of the group in the background waiting to catch Evie when she falls. At least I prefer the quiet thoughtful Reed, not so much the possessive Reed that tends to make Evie jump into reckless decisions. Whenever I think of Reed I think of quiet haunting songs and no one does that well as Sufjan Stevens. To Be Alone With You reminds me of when Russell takes Evie to upper Michigan, away from Reed.

    And overall, I think that Reed’s love could be summed up with the timeless Nick Drake. Reed has lived a long long life and has seen so many things, but nothing as amazing as Evie.

    So I have three songs for this series. The first is for Evan in the first book, Reason to Breathe. Evan and Emma have this relationship that is like a sinking ship in a raging storm. They deal with so much, so many heartbreaking circumstances. Evan is perfect for broken Emma, perfect for helping her and making her stronger.
    Look after you- The Fray

    And then there is the ending of the second book, ya know the part where Donovan rips our heart sout and we have to wait and wait and wait to find out what happens???? Well this song is what I feel like Evan and Emma would be listening to as they are also waiting.
    The Snow Patrol song is for Evan and even Emma, as they deal with everything that is going on.

        Why weren’t you guys sure!? Jamie is gorgeous and yes gotta love that accent! He played Caius in Twilight and I remember seeing him for the first time in Sweeney Todd. Drool… I know there were lots of people rooting for Alex Pettyfer but they’re both yummy I would have been happy with either!
