SYNOPSIS:

Whoever said money couldn’t buy happiness has never starved a day in their lives.

My name is Aria Valencia, a third year classical music student at the university, and I was down to my last dollar. Some nights, I seriously considered working at the rippers just to make ends meet, but the thought of my dad’s spirit–God rest his soul–scowling at me while I danced up on some drooling degenerate was enough to turn me off the idea completely.

And then one night, chance came knocking on my door under the guise of the Midnight Society, a secret cabal comprised of the most wealthy and influential souls this side of the Universe. Their leader was a man named Shadow, who was equally enigmatic as he was gorgeous and, for some mystifying reason, had his dark brooding eyes focused on me.

Seduced by the promises of fame and fortune in exchange for a seemingly innocent request, I soon found myself drawn into a provocative world filled with both vast riches and unending lies and it didn’t take long for me to realize what being a part of the Midnight Society actually entailed: shiny things, sensual romance, and dead bodies.

Being with Shadow came with a terrible price, one that I wasn’t willing to pay. There’s a dark side to every love story, and this one was mine.

EXCERPT:

We visited four more temple ruins that afternoon. Though not as extravagant as Angkor Wat, each one was just as haunting and beautiful. The one that touched me profoundly was Ta Prohm, where an ancient looking tree seeped through the ruin’s walls creating a harmonious union between stone and root.

Two different elements of nature, fused into one to form one of the most breathtaking things I’ve ever seen.

I turned around and looked at Shadow, who was too busy examining the carvings on the stone walls to notice that I was staring at him.

We were two distinct entities in this vast universe ourselves—Shadow living in a world of money, power, and a haunting past which suffocates him daily. Meanwhile I was a simple girl whose life blood was filled with impossible dreams and musical sonatas. My future terrified me and my past was filled with bittersweet memories.

A week ago, the thought of being in a relationship with this provocative, but ridiculously handsome man was the last thing I wanted. Seeing the symbiotic union between the tree and the temple made me wonder if a love between Shadow and I could be just as beautiful and spellbinding?

I wanted him. God, I wanted him so badly.

I wanted these dates to be more than just a façade.

I wanted these moments we had together to mean just as much to Shadow as they did to me. I wanted him to look at me as I looked at him—as the person who captured his heart.

REVIEW

What if there was a secret society whose members were the world’s top business men? What if that society had been around for centuries? You married from the society, children raised with the Fight Club mentality; First rule of The Midnight Society, don’t talk about The Midnight Society. Except your punishment isn’t an ass kicking, it’s death.

And what if you met a man who was the king of this society, and basically ruled the world? If you’re Aria– you tell him to go scratch because you want nothing to do with this crazy crap.

And she does, at first.

I loved Semblance. This novel is a fast-paced, suspense driven, page-turner. There was one clever twist after another. And just when I could breath a little sigh of relief… BOOM! I’m stunned and making — no-way-that-just-happened noises. Honest to God, I suspected everyone and figured out nothing! Every single plot twist is relevant, and dammit! my 007 inner fangirl was all about the society’s security.

I’m totally hot for both Shadow and Lincoln, but Aria? Now THIS is a strong, independent female character I like! As she tries to navigate this new world, she never loses sight of who she is, and her goals in life never change.

At one point a few of the members are outraged that she would even be considered by The Midnight Society. One member asks her about her family– what did her father (who is dead) do that was outstanding with his life? What was his greatest accomplishment? She answered, simple, “Me”. I love that.

About the author

Logan discovered both love and heartbreak at the tender age of seven, when the pretty little blue-eyed girl next door stole his Kit-Kat bar and shared it with the bad boy from across the street. Devastated, Logan found solace by escaping into imaginary worlds he forged with words, creating kingdoms where the chivalrous knight always got the princess.

Twenty three years later Logan spends his days in a suit and tie, working for the government on matters of network security. However his thoughts never strayed too far from the incendiary nature of love — the passionate fire that’s both scintillating and dangerous. Obsessed with exploring the steamy and mysterious side of human nature, Logan continues to create worlds filled with thrills, mystery, and of course, sex.

Review of Undertow by Amber Lynn Natusch + Giveaway

Undertow COVERFROM GOODREADS:

How far does a girl have to run to escape a lifetime of pain and loss at the hands of Alaska’s notoriously unforgiving Bering Sea? Twenty-seven-year-old Aesa Fredriksen thought landlocked Columbus, Ohio would suffice, and it does until the fear of regret drives her to return to Dutch Harbor in a final attempt to make amends with her nearly estranged father. Intent on salvaging the wreckage of their relationship, she reluctantly agrees to join him—the only family she has left—as he heads out to fish for king crab, forcing her to brave the very waters that pulled him away from her as a child. The waters that stole her mother’s life.
When the day finally arrives for the Norwegian Queen to sail off into an uncertain future, Aesa can’t help but fear the worst. Beyond the violent swells and impending storms, there is far more than death and danger awaiting her on her journey: love awaits her too.

Decker, a young but seasoned member of her father’s crew, is a force of nature as strong as Aesa, He’s her perfect match, and even she can’t deny it. But he too is a man of the sea, and with memories of tragedy and abandonment etched so deeply into her mind, can she overcome her demons and let him in or will she drown in her darkness, forever caught in its undertow?

Review

First, let me say that I am a huge fan of Amber’s work. Her Caged series is one of my all-time favorite urban fantasy series. That series (like Undertow) was so incredible well written, but it was Amber’s ability to write such deep and relatable characters that moved Caged to that next level for me.

Undertow– Wow. I will start with the setting; Dutch Harbor, Alaska. At first I thought, oh no! King crab fishing? *cue theme music for Deadliest Catch* But, I loved that this contemporary romance novel had such an unusual setting. I’ve read romance novels set all over the world… never near or on a crab boat. And let me tell you, I could not put Undertow down! This novel was a page turner from beginning to end with nail-biting suspense and such cringe-worthy scenes that even though I know what happened– I won’t read those scenes again. They felt THAT real to me. And I loved all the characters THAT much. *shivers*

Nine years ago Aesa ran from all she’d lost, her father, and the Bering Sea that did nothing but take from her. She returns with the intent to mend the broken relationship with her father, but is not anywhere near ready (emotionally) to walk into her childhood home and face it all. On the surface she seems ready– she’s a doctor now, she’s got a handle on her anger, and she’s matured. Part of what makes her so relatable is that old wounds bring her right back to where she was emotionally nine years ago. Aesa has a death grip on her anger. If she’s angry then she doesn’t have to feel pain. And she thinks her anger is justified.

Aesa is cold at times, neurotic about order, and keeps everyone at arm’s length. Where they are safely on that side. Where she won’t be hurt. Where there is no fear. Where it doesn’t matter if that person leaves and never comes back.

But it does matter; Decker matters.

Decker has a past. He’s learned from it, and it doesn’t define him. He is a fisherman through and through, but  unlike anyone Aesa has ever met. And by anyone, I mean he is the first person she’s let past her walls in nine years. And now that he’s there, there’s no way in hell Decker is going to let Aesa push him away to protect herself.

“You can’t live your life through the eyes of the past forever. You’ll never be able to move forward with that fear tethered to you, holding you back. Whatever it is that haunts you, you need to learn to either accept it or push past it. You’re too strong to let it bring you down. Don’t drown yourself in the sorrows of what has been.”

I’d recommend this book to anyone. I wasn’t surprised that I loved Undertow as much as I did, given how over-the-top in love I am with Caged. And just a quick side note: Fans of Caged, Amber gave a shout-out to creatures that react to a full moon. WHOOT! Or at least my Team Cooper heart took it that way. 😉

A Review of ‘The Perfect Game’ By Bestselling Author J. Sterling

Sometimes life gets ugly before it gets beautiful…

“I knew she wasn’t like other girls the moment I saw the disgusted look on her face after I called her “Kitten.” Most girls would have creamed their pants if I called them that. But not Cassie. She looked like she wanted to punch me in the jaw.   And I’ve wanted to kiss her ever since.”

Kitten, he calls her kitten and she hates it.  Jack Carter his hot and he knows it.  A left-handed pitching sensation with black hair, chocolate brown eyes and a dimpled grin, he can have any girl he wants without even trying, except Cassie.  He has to work for her.  She challenges him to “prove it”; that his words aren’t empty promises and boy does he ever.  Quarters—swoon.

“But no one knew what it was like to be me. I’d finally met a girl who didn’t try to impress me. She didn’t care about what I did as an athlete; she cared about what I did as a person. I was jumping into this thing with both feet. Holding on to Cassie with both arms.”

After being abandoned by both parents, Jack refused to let people get too close, fearing they’d leave.  He didn’t do relationships or fall in love.  Until Cassie, he was content with casual love ‘em and leave ‘em; don’t sleep with the same girl twice flings.  But Cassie makes him want to be a better person; he wants something real and long- term with her.  Cassie got into his heart and he found for the first time ever, he welcomed and wasn’t afraid of love.  But Jack is his own worst enemy; he believes it’s inevitable that he’ll screw up and his lack of faith in himself results in Cassie waiting for it to happen.

“I’ll admit I was scared. We’d crossed the line and my heart would never be the same, no matter what happened from here on out. But if I wanted him to believe in us, I had to believe in him.”

Cassie was disappointed far too many times by empty promises from her father so she learned to rely on actions over words.  As a result, she follows her four rules for dating to keep from getting her heart broken.   She never let herself get close enough to anyone to fall in love.  But when she finally agrees to a date with the infamous Jack Carter, she finds herself opening up to him and falling hard.  Cassie is very likable and easy to relate to in this book.  She did overreact to a situation but I forgave her because she learned from it and matured.  She doesn’t put her life on hold for Jack which, I loved; she knew if she gave up her dreams for Jack she would end up resenting him.  Jack enriches her life, he does not consume it—a great message to all girls out there.

I really loved this book.  There were a few things that made me think, “huh?” but given the characters’ pasts; it totally made sense and worked.  I loved the supporting characters (Jack’s brother Dean and Cassie’s BFF Melissa).  They were often the voice of reason and I loved how they didn’t shy away from calling Jack and Cassie out when they screwed up because that’s how real friends are with each other.  This is a nice, easy read about finding the one you love, losing them and doing whatever it takes to get them back without compromising their integrity.  Love isn’t perfect, sometimes it downright sucks but when you love someone enough to work through the lows, the highs are  more meaningful.

Would I read this book again? YES!

A Review of The Secret of Ella and Micha By: Bestselling Author Jessica Sorensen

The Secret of Ella and Micha by Jessica Sorensen

A rule-breaker with a fiery attitude, Ella always wore her heart on her sleeve. Then she left everything behind to go to college, where she transformed into someone who follows the rules, keeps everything together, and hides all her problems. Now it's summer break and she has nowhere else to go but home. But once there, Ella fears that everything she's worked so hard to bury might resurface-especially with Micha living right next door. Smart, sexy, and confident, Micha can get under Ella's skin like no one else. He knows everything about her, including her darkest secrets. If he tries to tempt the old Ella to return, he will be impossible to resist. But what Ella doesn't realize is that when she left, she took a piece of Micha's heart with her. Now he's determined to win back the girl he lost, no matter what it takes.

“He knows what I’m about to say—he always does. He is my best friend, my soul mate. In a perfect world, full of roses and sunshine   we’d be together, but this world is full of broken homes, drunken fathers, and mothers who give up easily.”

Ella is afraid of her feelings for Micha, she loves him but she’s terrified Micha will see how broken she is inside if she lets them “go there” and she’ll lose him.   She tries to bury her feelings by keeping him at arm’s length but the more she’s around him, the more she wants him and the harder it is to fight it.  But she doesn’t come off as wishy-washy or like she’s leading him on.  She’s working through her feelings and slowly giving him pieces of herself.  She’s not pushing him away; she’s taking baby steps towards him.

“Then I swig my beer back and bury my pain, along with Ella. She’s the only girl that’s ever been able to get me this upset. The only girl that’s never wanted me.”

Micha has been in love with Ella since he was sixteen years old and he gets Ella like nobody else does.  He knows what she’s thinking.  He knows when to push    her and when to pull back.  He’ll call her on her crap and give her a reality check when needed.  He’ll fight with her and for her.  He wants her to lean on him when life gets rough.  He wants her to run to him instead of away from him when she’s overwhelmed.  He knows she loves him but he lets her figure it out in her own time.  His life is not the same without Ella in it and he pines for her without turning into a love sick sap.

I really loved this book.  It’s told from alternating POVs so both character’s voices are heard which gives the reader a better insight to both of them.  The characters, main and supporting, are well-written and they each have a distinct personality.  The conversations they have are realistic and natural.  I was able to connect with them and I understood their motivation throughout the whole book.  The story flowed very well and it was paced perfectly.  This book is about a broken girl finding her way and the boy who loves her enough to let her get there in her own time.  It’s about accepting life can be messy and it isn’t always perfect but when you allow yourself to love and be loved you can get through anything life throws at you.

Would I read this book again? YES

Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare

Clockwork Princess is out tomorrow!!!

In Cassandra Clare’s Infernal Devices series Tessa, Will and Jem’s story continues.

Here are a few things that have gone down so far…

imagesCAO70TE3

Tessa loves Will.

Tessa is 1/2 warlock (downworlder). Will is a Shadow Hunter.

Shadow Hunters cannot ever marry a downworlder.

Do you all remember that awful day on the roof?

Turns out Tessa is part Shadow Hunter! Thank God!

Will is just using that as an excuse because he believes he is cursed. Anyone who loves him will die.

BUT WAIT!

imagesCAY0Z7LK

THANK GOD!

FINALLY!  TESSA AND WILL. TOGETHER. FOREVER.

Hold up….

266345765433129858_7aoCfadA_b

NOOOOOOO!!!!

When Will walks through the doors of the library, looking happier than Tessa had ever seen him, we knew why!

THERE IS NO CURSE!

Then Tessa drops the bomb. Jem asked her to marry him and she said yes.

I don’t know about any of you– but I cried for Will. Jem is his best friend, and may possibly die in the near future.

He won’t fight for his girl.

WORSE!

Tessa said yes to Jem because Will pushed her away!

I am one part scared Jem will die.

The other part of me is praying Jem steps aside, otherwise I might have to start wishing for his death.

WHY???

imagesCAY75VNO

A HARCORE BOOK BOYFRIEND CRUSH THAT’S WHY.

Who has read Infernal Devices?

Is Tessa really a warlock? She doesn’t have a demon mark.

What will Tessa do now?

Thoughts?

Zephyr; The Men, Angels, And Undead Of The Premonition Series

This week is about ALL the men, angels, and undead. That means I have to set my obsession aside and be fair.

I’d also like to say thank you for all the shares on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest!! It’s awesome that so many people spread their love for this series!! Especially with Iniquity coming out soon (I hope).

OK — HERE WE GO!

I gave myself a birthday gift recently – a post with some of my favorite swoon worthy fictional characters. Some of those authors are, Cassandra Clare, Nicole Williams, Sarah Fine, Colleen Hoover (LOVE!!), Veronica Roth, Laury Falter, Abbi Glines, and M. Leighton <–all Amazon links

Here it is in case you missed it

In the comments a few ladies suggested we all read the Premonition series by Amy Bartol. One said she was Team Brennus; the other was 100% Team Reed.

I will start by saying that I am Team Reed.

Are there only two teams?

Meet Zephyr; Power Angel

jared angel 02 07 10

Lethal assassin badass! A machine that annihilates the Fallen.

Zephyr is Reed’s best friend. When we first meet Zephyr (Zee), however, we have no clue how fast and hard we will fall for him.

Book #1 Reed’s house. Evie is at a party and Fallen show up. She tells Russell to call Reed and Evie runs (lightning fast speed) to Reed’s house. Only Reed isn’t home.

Oh no.

…. “A soft rustle of fabric coming from the library down the hall, alerts me to the fact that someone is here…. I stop dead in my tracks…. I scan the perfect figure of the angel in front of me…. Slowly, his dark-brown eyebrows pull dangerously close together over his ice-blue eyes. Then, my fear doubles as a low, primal growl accompanies his severe frown.”

Where is Reed!!??

Also, that’s hot.

“Tires screech on the pavement just beyond Reed’s driveway, and my eyes snap open wider…. In seconds, Reed is in the room and has me cradled in his arms…. “I did not harm her,” The angel speaks to Reed in a defensive tone…. He lets me go…. Whirling on the other angel…. Reed’s shirt tears instantly and falls away from his body, while his gray wings arc out in menace.”

Can you picture it? I CAN!

imagesCAHRM7FY

*fans hand in front of face*

…. “Zephyr, if you ever do anything like that to Evie again, you will pray for death.” …. Zephyr grunts and says in a serious tone, “I will kill anything that attempts to harm her.”

And so it begins.

Let us review all the ways Zee has become, for any Team member, the one character in this amazing series we simply cannot live without.

Book #2

Evie cuts Zee while sparing. Reed is shocked and demands Evie show him. Reed leaps forward, and takes a viscous swipe at her, coming within centimeters.

Mr. Soul mate, Russell, is having none of it!

Russell

Russell– …. “I shoot forward to pounce on Reed, but am held by Zephyr who whispers in my ear, “Do not go there. He will kill you.”

Zee– Always the voice of reason. Always stepping in. Always with his military plans of attack and/or escape.

Fast forward. Evie escapes from Brennus’ cave with Russell’s help…

imagesCACSGAQG

only to find out that Zee and Reed have been captured by the Powers and charged with treason.

What is a half-breed Seraph Angel to do?

She goes and gets her angels, that’s what she does!!

TEAM EVIE!!!!

Zee and Reed, hearing Evie give herself up in exchange for them, fight their way into the room. They are bruised, cut, and Zee is … “courageously facing down about twenty or so Powers that are cautiously approaching them from the left and from the right…. Reed just has me in his sights—his expression is lethal.”

Whoa. It gets worse…..

…”Reed pulls me to him, crushing me in a vise-like embrace…. My eyes lock on Zephyr’s blue ones over Reed’s shoulder. He looks wrecked, like he has given everything he has to get to this point…. I reach my hand out to him and he takes it in his, hugging Reed and I together.”

I feel gutted! I love them! Since we’re going down that road

“Reed places me in Zephyr’s waiting embrace…. Zephyr is trying to calm me down by speaking to me softly in Angel, while petting my hair…. Zee is eyeing all the other angels suspiciously while his arms remain around me.”  <– That part was when I knew if Amy EVER killed off Zee, I would never forgive her.

I came to depend on Zee’s strength as much as the rest of “the family” did through the rest of this series. Zee’s nod of approval, his grunts, his growls of either warning or stamp of approval for the way Reed is handling himself (love that!!) had me both sitting up straighter and relaxing.

Book #4 In the kitchen, battles over for now.

Zee and Reed eye each other. They vow, with an exchange of feathers, to be brothers and always have one another’s backs. I can’t quote it. It’s too emotional for me. And this post is running late as it is due to my inability to STOP reading each book while searching for quotes.

Okay. Let’s talk book #5

My fears:

Xavier roughed up Zee’s girl, Buns trying to get info. BASTARD! Worse! What will Zee do about it? Oh, God… Can he win a challenge? Will Reed step in? Xavier will challenge Reed for Evie. Will Zee step in? Will he be killed? Called back to Heaven? What if something awful happens to Buns? Going back to book #1 — Evie asks Zee what kind of angel is Lucifer? He’s a Seraph. I don’t even want to think about Evie and Lucifer facing off….

My wishes:

BRENNUS FINALLY DIES! , Tau is completely humiliated — Amy, please have his wings severed in the process! , Reed and Evie have a baby (it could happen), Evie can CHANGE Finn back. He’s still on my trust list! Dammit! ,  Russell and Evie detroy the Fallen.

What are your Zee moments?

Fears for book#5

Wishes for book#5

Up Next — BRENNUS

Miss Cristina over at Cristina’s Book Reviews is Team Brennus. She will be doing the Brennus post for us! YAY!

Earlier today  I issued a challenge of my own — Letting her, and every other Team Brennus member know — Team Reed is ready!

Here it is

We are expecting an ice storm here. If Brennus isn’t up on this blog, that’s why.

Russell; The Men, Angels, And Undead Of The Premontion Series

***** SPOILERS!!!*****

This week is about ALL the men, angels, and undead. That means I have to set my obsession for Reed aside and be fair.

Here it is in case you missed it

In the comments a few ladies suggested we all read the Premonition series by Amy Bartol. One said she was Team Brennus; the other was 100% Team Reed.

I will start by saying that I am Team Reed.

Are there only two teams?

You decide

Meet Russell

Russell

Our angel, Russell; half human, half Seraph Angel. Southern gentleman, football star, loyal friend, and loves his momma and sisters.

We first meet Russell at an event for school. Evie and Russell hit it off and he nicknames her, Red. She feels like she knows him, but can’t place where or how.

Fast forward – and THIS is your first hint that Russell and Evie do, indeed, know each other.

Clenching his teeth, Reed looks at Russell again, but longer this time as his eyebrows come down slowly in a frown. “Am I interrupting your reunion?”

Hmmm. What’s up with that!!??

I’ll tell you what’s up, Mr. Perfect Power Angel – turns out your girl has a soul mate! His name is Russell and she dreams about Russell, not YOU. In the near future she will be willing to die for him. And almost does trying to save him, and in doing so changes him into a Seraph Angel – one level above YOU!

So what does it all mean??

1: Russell is sticking around now. And because Reed loves Evie, he moves Russell into his home for protection.

2: Someday Russell may, and probably will, surpass Reed in strength & speed.

3: Dammit! It’s worth mentioning again…. He’s got Evie’s soul.

And if there is a Team Russell card carrying member out there – that person has a HUGE HEART and is probably on Team Simon, Team Jacob, Team Jem, and Team _______ <—- insert name of underdog who will never measure up to Reed, Jace, Edward, or Will.  No, I didn’t include Gale. I’m on Team Gale…

To a Team Russell reader I say, I’m sorry. This is the part where I slap you in face with my Reed Reality Check:

It’s never going to happen. Soul mate or not.

Look at this face….

imagesCAHRM7FY

That said – let’s discuss a few parts of this series that depending what Team you are on – your heart broke, you wanted to strangle Evie, you hated Reed, you fell in love all over again with Russell, you cursed Amy for bringing these angels into your life because NOW – you suffer from Book Hangover.

Book Hangover definition: Inability to start a new book because you’re still living in the last book’s world

Book #2 Grocery store. The plan; Russell, stay in the car and be the lookout. Evie is going shopping.

Fail

Russell  …”Another growl escapes me……My hand twitches on the handle of the door. I am across the parkin’ lot and pacin’ in front of the store window in a matter of moments. I’m not even sure how I got here, but I’m here, watching the round man eyein’ my girl…… Red sees me….. she scans the parkin’ lot lookin’ for any potential threat that would cause me to deviate from the plan….. The manager does the unthinkable and puts his hand on Red’s arm….. Fantasy after fantasy of ways to main and kill him bounce through my head.”

In the two previous posts I’ve talked about all the angels’ wings communicating, the primal growls, and lightning fast speed. In that scene you see that Russell’s angel characteristics are developing fast.

If you are Team Reed – the “my girl” pissed you off.

If you are Team Russell – You are swooning over his animal-like, involuntary, protective-angel response to a man touching Red.

Book #2 Brennus’ Cave. The Plan; If we get separated, Russell, you run as far and fast as you can.

Fail

Evie — …. “I hear a deep, low growl and a voice that I thought I’d never hear again in my life. Tears of anguish spring to my eyes because he should have run!….  The image of Russell walking across the hall is nothing short of breathtaking…… He is so much more than human now. He is a dangerous and lethal assassin. He is Seraph.”

That’s so damn hot… but THIS is hotter;

“His huge frame is almost dwarfed by his bright, crimson wings as they stretch out like wide, arching symbols of vengeance.”

HELL YEA! It’s going down!

Let’s get a visual on that!!!!

Oh, Russell.

Now that I’m all warm and fuzzy inside…. Poor Russell. His soul mate is now branded by Reed. And as if all this undying love inside for her is not enough, all his memories come back of their past lives together over the last few thousand years.

Let’s talk about crap thrown in Russell’s face! ie – The island!

Hey, I get it. She is Reed’s Aspire. They are reunited. The whole family is together again! Everyone is happy, aside from Russell. Russell, who was on the beach when Reed & Evie go inside their cabin/cabana – destroying it like rock stars.

I felt so sorry for Russell that I almost had trouble enjoying Reed The Rock star in action.

Ok, so I lied to you. I felt a twinge of pity for Russell. That was before clothes are being ripped off and furniture is breaking.

Russell Pity Party is FINALLY over! Enter Anya

Ho, Ho, Ho. What’s this Miss Everyone Loves Me Evie? Your soul mate has HIS OWN Aspire? Complete with butterflies. Or as Russell calls them, crickets.

How about that library!!?? Russell so hot and clumsy. Wings spread, knocking crap over. SO Russell.

Things I love about Russell:

His southern charm.

He sets aside his immense pain and jealousy, and is there for both Evie AND Reed at every turn.

Gotta give him props for the sparing on the beach that turned into Russell getting his ass handed to him by Reed. But, he tried.

After all he’s been through, he feels guilt over Anya. Not wanting to accept her story that Russell picked her over Evie. Awww.

His bravery

He doesn’t let his Seraph status go to his head.

His loyalty and love for his friends is unconditional

(because I will hear about it in the comments– no, I’m not forgetting the watch switch. Not cool, Russell. Not cool.)

What do you love about Russell? What are you favorite Russell moments?

Let’s discuss!!
